Whilst the majority of students who attend our courses come as part of a group, we also welcome students who wish to attend as an individual.
This is a great way for a student to really immerse themselves in the English language, and we have found that these students are often very popular with others who wish to focus on their English. Individual students bond very quickly with others, and make good friends.
Following your initial enquiry, we will make sure that the student is directed to the course that will suit them best. We can advise on the different means of travel to and from the centre on arrival and departure, and can also organise a personal meeting service.
Individual students are the responsibility of the assistant centre manager, whose role is to ensure their welfare during the course. There will always be a person they can speak to and resolve any issues they may have, eg. their class level, accommodation, or optional excursions they may wish to go on.
Students who travel independently often require a certain level of maturity, so please note that the age range is different for individuals – 14 is the minimum age we can accept on both homestay and residential courses. The maximum age is 17.
Elaine Wickens, our Welfare and Administration Director, handles individual enrolments. If you are interested in sending an individual, or have any further questions, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
WHAT STUDENTS SAY ABOUT US
“I would like to thank you and Elac team members for the excellent course held in Nottingham in July. My two boys started communicating with other boys and sending photos and learned how to depend on themselves and to be away from family. You were always very helpful to respond to any requirements.” - Hussain Hassan, Saudi Arabia
“Just a short note to say a big thank-you to you and your colleagues in Eastbourne College camp. They have looked after Zhaoyang Zhou so well. The boy had a wonderful summer camp.” - Yuan Zeilmaker, China
