Discovery Programmes
Elac Centres all have their own particular style and identity, but the Discovery Programme provides common features and a shared ethos across all of them.
Students follow a programme based on their age:
Explorers (7-11)
Voyagers (11-14)
Trailblazers (14-17)
All programmes offer the following:
Welcome
Lessons
- English level test
- Communicative language lessons
- Functional English
- Skills development
- Environmental awareness topics
- Soft skills development
We usually run zig-zag Discovery Courses where students on a two-week programme typically have academic input in the morning and a social programme in the afternoon for one week, and the other week they have lessons in the afternoon and their social programme in the morning.
Creative & Physical Activities
- Creative activities e.g., drama, design, arts & crafts
- Physical activities e.g., swimming, teambuilding, sports
- Workshops e.g., music & rhythm, photography, circus skills
Evening Entertainment
Examples include:
- Discos

- Murder mystery

Educational Excursions
- Two half-day local excursions (Three for students on three-week programmes)
- Three full-day excursions (Four for students on three-week programmes)
