Bath: World Heritage City

Built along the banks of the River Avon and nestling amongst seven hills, The World Heritage City of Bath has been a popular destination since Roman times and is one of the most visited cities in Europe.  With its long and colourful history, reflected in its unique and varied architecture, Bath offers many attractions, whatever your interests.  Walking from the Roman Baths to the medieval Bath Abbey and then on to the Georgian Royal Crescent, visitors can admire Bath’s Georgian layout, with its parks, statues and squares, and its famous cream Bath stone.

Milsom Street

Modern Bath also has much to offer, boasting a great selection of restaurants, cafés, shops, pubs, theatres, and museums.  The newly completed, pedestrianised Southgate shopping development has many small attractive boutiques alongside the better known high street shops.  It is a lively but safe and friendly place, with leisure facilities including sports centres, cinemas and the Thermae Bath Spa, a unique opportunity to bathe in the hot springs as the Romans once did!

Tailor Made Programmes

Our programmes are designed to meet your exact requirements: the number of students per class, the number of hours of tuition, the focus of teaching.  We can cater for school parties who are interested in a linguistic and cultural experience, or equally for adults who have specific study goals.

The programmes we design can include tuition only, or else a range of activities and excursions.  For junior groups, there are sports options available at the city leisure centre, cinema or ten-pin bowling in nearby Longwell Green, as well as a host of cultural activities in the city.  For adults there is also a huge choice of restaurants, cafes and bars, and the recently opened Spa Baths in the city centre, with roof-top pool.
